Free Flower Baby Patten

Materials

  • 3 colors of any yarn you prefer, I used Alize softy plus or baby bear for this project
  • A crochet hook, I used a 4mm
  • Safety eyes, I used 10mm
  • Poly-fil fiberfill
  • A yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers
  • Optional: pink yarn or marker for blush

Terms to Know

  • Rnd: round
  • ch.: chain
  • inc: 2 stitches in 1 stitch
  • sc: single crochet
  • CC: color change
  • FLO: work in the front loop only
  • hdc: half double crochet
  • dc: double crochet
  • slst: slip stitch
  • BLO: work in the back loop only
  • bo: bobble stitch - 3 pull throughs
  • dec: decrease

Notes

  • I used yarn under/yarn under technique, but this is not mandatory
  • This pattern is worked in continuous rounds, do not use the slst/join method or your work will be lopsided
  • Use a stitch marker to help you know where the beginning / end of the rounds are
  • Project can be started with the ch.2 metho or a magic ring, crocheter’s choice!

Flower Baby Pattern

Begin in Yellow

Rnd1: ch.2 and 8sc into the 2nd ch. from the hook [8]

Rnd2: 8inc [16]

Rnd3-Rnd4: 16sc around for 2rnds, CC to White in last stitch [16]

**Place a stitch marker in the first unworked back loop of Rnd5 so it’s easier to find when we work Rnd6**

Rnd5: in the FLO ([2hdc, dc, 2hdc], slst) x8, CC to Green in last stitch [48]

Rnd6: Starting in the BLO you marked before Rnd5 - 16sc around [16]

Rnd7: 16sc around [16]

Rnd8: 5sc, bo, 5sc, bo, 4sc [16]

Rnd9: (3sc, inc)x4 [20]

Rnd10: 7sc, bo, 6sc, bo, 5sc [20]

**Insert Safety Eyes in Rnd7 about 3 stitches apart**

R11: 10dec [10]

-F/O all colors and leave a tail long enough in green to close the hole and weave in the end

-Stuff until desired firmness and close/weave in your ends

-Feel free to add any cute little touches like blush or a smile to personalize your flower baby!
